We believe in the inherent value of people as is described in the Bible and seek to honor this through what we do as an organization.

Matthew 10:29-31
“Are not two sparrows sold for a penny? And not one of them will fall to the ground apart from your Father. But even the hairs of your head are all numbered. Fear not, therefore; you are of more value than many sparrows.”

We believe family is a foundational social unit, according to the original design of God as described in Genesis 1. We view family as vital for society, and that healthy families and individuals create flourishing communities.

As Christians, we believe that we have been invited by Jesus to serve one another and the world with a posture of love. We seek to empower the local church and community to partner with us to offer long term solutions to issues of crisis in our region.

We believe that love is a pillar for all we do and seek to operate out of the Biblical definition of love as described in 1 Corinthians 13. In our work and through the services we provide, we seek to reveal the love demonstrated by Jesus through His death and resurrection as described in John 15:13, “Greater love has no one than this: to lay down one’s life for one’s friends.”

At Sparrow, we desire for people to find care and belonging within the context of a healthy community. Our hope is to cultivate this in all that we do and invite people to share in the joys and sorrows of life together. We are not meant to do life alone.

Despite all the best efforts of humanity, we can only heal and find true purpose in life through Jesus. He is the Healer; the One who restores hope and offers true lasting change and solutions to the destructive patterns that steal from the lives of people. The scripture in Isaiah describes the power of the death of Jesus for our healing and restoration.
